History:
The law firm of Mogel, Speidel, Bobb and Kershner has continuously served the greater Berks community for over 135 years as the area's oldest law firm. Current shareholders are Frederick R. Mogel, Stephen H. Price, Sean J. O'Brien, Andrew S. George and Mark E. Zimmer. Other firm members are Edwin H. Kershner and Gene M. Venzke. Scott N. Jacobs and Aaron J. Bell are associates. Alan S. Readinger, Gordon M. Mair, Kathryn K. Harenza, and Charles E. Fryer are Of Counsel.

2007 Summary:
Mogel, Speidel, Bobb and Kershner continued its presence in the community with local offices in Womelsdorf, Robesonia, Fleetwood and Boyertown in addition to its main Reading office. In June, Aaron J. Bell joined the firm as Associate Attorney. Mr. Bell practices in the areas of estate planning and administration, family law, general civil litigation, corporate and municipal law. Mr. Bell was formerly an Assistant District Attorney in the Berks County District Attorney's Office. Highlights included growth of its client base and diversity of its clients, expanded business through the Boyertown office title company, upgraded web site and expanded community involvement.

2008 Expectations:
Mogel, Speidel, Bobb and Kershner expects to continue to expand its client base in the greater Berks area. As of January 1, Mark E. Zimmer became a shareholder of the firm. Mr. Zimmer practices family law including divorce, custody, support, protection from abuse and adoption, general litigation and estate planning. Mr. Zimmer is a court appointed custody mediator and a civil litigation arbitrator. He is a member and current Co-Chair of the Berks County Bar family law section. Mr. Zimmer serves on the board of the Family Guidance Center, and he is also the former Chair of the Western District Berks County Republican Committee.
